Description
Most Kashan's are in medallion and corners format. Most Kashan's are in standard sizes, like 9" by 12", etc. This is not the usual Kashan. The sandy straw field displays a diminutive Allover textile pattern of ascending cypresses on trays, little fan palmettes, rosettes and tiny detached florets. The cypress on stand motif recurs in the sand side borders, and the ends show divided rectangles with arches. The weave is fine, the facture urban. Definitely a special order. Lighter palette. Expansive effect. Good condition.
