An absolutely delightful French 20th Century verdure-style tapestry depicting a lush forest scene and a meandering waterway. Woven in verdant colors in a range of green and blue tones with contrasting gold and pink, this fantastic woven textile transports the viewer to a magical place and time that will make an enormous impact on your own space. Impressively sized, it would envelop your wall in a wooded wonderland. A flourishing treeline is central to the scene, with a bird spotted on the bank of a meandering stream, keeping a watchful eye on its forest domain–shaded by dense foliage in the tree canopy. The tapestry is surrounded by a complementary border of floral-foliate pattern. Tag from the weaver, Corot, attached to the back which authenticates and puts the work in historical context.
