Description
A graceful William IV recamier or chaise longue in rich rosewood having sophisticated carving in the Grecian taste including a bold S scroll to the front face with acanthus leaves and rose roundels at each end, a fine shaped rail along the curving back profile and a wide molded apron above lotus carved legs on original brass casters. England, circa 1835. In need of reupholstery. Equally at home in a drawing room or a boudoir, and destined to be the preferred destination for reading or napping.
