Description
An 18th century blue and white covered delft jar having elaborate hand-painted oriental scenes of a master in his garden being fanned by a courtier, the master being accompanied by a hunter on horseback and two courtiers, and on the lid figures walking in a garden with a colonnaded temple in the background, all in wonderful subtle blues against a white glazed ground. Netherlands, circa 1780.
