Pair of Victorian Classical sterling silver compotes. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1877. Each: Round and shallow bowl and raised foot. Fern and flower repousse ornament. Bowl has plain well (vacant) with leaf-and-dart border, and applied scroll and flower rim. Foot rim has cast shell and flower rim. Garland band support. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 4994 (first produced in 1877), and director’s letter M (1873-91). Very good condition.
