Description
Pair of two Vintage Rattan or Bamboo Armchairs manufactured by Vivai del Sud. Vivai del Sud was a leading Italian manufacturer in the 1960s and 1970s, specialising in furniture made from natural materials such as rattan, cane and bamboo, often in a Mid-Century Modern style, sometimes called ‘Italian Modern’ or ‘Côte d’Azur style’. .
The low profile and structure formed by vertical canes that create the side panels and backrest are consistent with their lounge chair models from the 1970s. The combination of natural material and simple, geometric form aligns with the tropical yet sophisticated aesthetic for which they are known. -
