Prodotto precedente ‘Fagiolo’ coffee table, Italian production 1960s
-
Description
The tabletop has a sinuous, irregular shape reminiscent of a bean. This type of design was very popular in Mid-Century Modern and reflected the desire to move away from the rigid, square shapes of previous periods. The combined use of walnut wood for the tapered legs and faux wood finish of the top, together with the gold leaf decorated edge, is typical of this period. Natural and luxurious materials were often used in innovative ways.
