Description
Seat of Khurassan Province and major religious centre. Medallion and overall pattern carpets, curvilinear drawing. Both Persian and Turkish knot types are used. Emogli and Saber were the two most famous master weavers in the 20th century. Medium to very fine weaves. Mostly room sized carpets, but also scatters and runners (kenares), prayer rugs only on demand.
