Description
Pair of Gio Ponti Italian master architect walnut side tables with mirrored glass tops by PIETRO CHIESA for Fontana Arte. All original. The mirrored glass reflects the light and whatever is positioned on it. The walnut legs splay in iconic Ponti fashion and form a mathematical asymmetrical table. The underside of the tables is expertly finished in the same walnut wood as the frames. From the circa 1940’s. Very light surface wear on the mirrored glass with a few discolorations in the glass as shown. See documentation in the last photo. These tables could function as side tables or small coffee table. Position the tables in whatever configuration you desire. 9.5”d x 23.5” w 16” h.

Pavilion is the collective vision of Deborah Colman and Neil Kraus, both graduates of the master of fine arts program at the Art Institute of Chicago. From a longstanding interest in art and design, frequent buying trips to France and Italy have influenced the direction of the gallery to offer items that are not easily sourced in Chicago and United States. Postwar design has been the focus for 18 yrs and we also look forward to new design that crosses boundaries and dialogues as well to the past
