Bombé cocktail rings became very popular after World War II, when the world roared back to life following the sacrifices and deprivation of the global conflict. The major French maisons all responded to the New Look glamor of haute couture with novel, fresh designs, and enthusiasm for the cocktail ring became a Transatlantic phenomenon. -
