Three more or less complete columns of seven boxed 'Memling guls" form alternating diagonals in red and eggshell with details in straw-camel, black and green. Diagnostic Karabagh, SW Caucasian, ivory border of stars and double angular links. Good condition with thick pile and all wool construction. The "Memling gul" is used all over the Caucasus as well as in Persia, Turkestan, Anatolia and even Morocco, and has been in use for many centuries.
