Andrea Claire
American
Andrea Claire is an architect, artist, and surfer who in her early years worked for such notable designers as Frank Gehry, Vito Acconci, and the Rockwell Group.
In 2004 she designed her first lamp to go in her own Greenpoint apartment using a panorama photo she had printed in graduate school, and a drum shade. Soon thereafter it was discovered by Future Perfects' David Alhadeff who started selling the lamps at his first store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Andrea Claire Studio has become a trusted partner to interior designers and architects all over the world. Our clients include Rosewood Hotels, Jean-Louis Deniot, MGM Hotels, Robert A.M. Stern, and Victoria Hagan. amongst others Working closely and personally with clients, the studio tailors dimensions, colors, and materials to suit the needs of each particular space, and client.
Using sustainable materials and technology has always been important to Andrea and in 2020 the studio joined 1% for the Planet to donate money to environmental causes such as Surfrider Foundation.
Andrea’s talented team carefully hand fabricates sustainable sculptural lighting fixtures in both Brooklyn and Los Angeles.
