Curtis Jeré
American, 1964
Jerry Fels, a New York based artist, and Kurt Freiler, a German immigrant manufacturer, met in the 1940s and began working together. In 1964 the pair founded Artisan House and soon began producing, marketing and representing a variety of decorative metal artists under the collective brand of C. Jeré or Curtis Jeré (Jere). Artisan House, under the collective Curtis Jere artisan brand, quickly became known for eclectic decorative wall décor and is sought after by collectors, antiquity dealers and metal design enthusiasts to this day. Curtis Jeré sculpture & decorative metal wall art remain popular worldwide.
