Eduardo Paolozzi

Eduardo Paolozzi (1924-2005) was a Scottish sculptor and artist of Italian descent. He was a key figure in the British post-war art movement known as Pop Art, and his work is characterized by a fusion of popular culture and the traditional forms of sculpture. Paolozzi is particularly famous for his monumental public sculptures, including the bronze statue of Sir Winston Churchill on New Bond Street in London, and the mosaics at Tottenham Court Road tube station. He also worked extensively in printmaking, creating numerous screenprints, lithographs, and etchings throughout his career.
