Ernest Tino Trova

Ernest Tino Trova (1927-2009) was an American artist best known for his sculpture and printmaking. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and studied at the University of Missouri and the Washington University School of Fine Arts. Trova's work is characterized by its minimalist forms, geometric shapes, and exploration of themes such as human identity, the human form, and the relationship between people and machines. He is perhaps best known for his series of sculptures entitled "Falling Man," which depict an anonymous, faceless figure in a state of perpetual motion. Trova's work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the United States and around the world, and he has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors for his contributions to the field of contemporary art. Today, he is remembered as one of the most innovative and influential American artists of the 20th century.
