James Walsh
American, 1954
American abstract painter James Walsh was born in Newark, NJ in 1954. He became an active member of the New York art scene in the early 1980's. Walsh's work follows in the modernist tradition of Pollock and others. His paintings are in selected collections at Edmonton Art Gallery, Alberta, Canada, the Everson Museum of Art, Syracuse, NY, the Mendel Art Gallery, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and the Portland Museum of Art, Oregon. Since 2020, Walsh has been featured in multiple shows at gallery Berry Campbell, New York City, NY.
