Gülsah Cantas, having graduated from Bilkent University, Interior Architecture Department, had her Master’s Degree in NYSID. In 2009, In a protest and counter atitude towards copycat and relapsing works and design, she launched her own company “Kontra” as more than merely a firm; but as a manifesto to meticilously juxtapose the contrasts in design and architecture within hospitality, commercial, retail and residential contexts. At Kontra, She, along with her team, realizes creative and sustainable ideas, which are completely different from one another in terms of concept. Not only does she create and promise an experience, which will be an asset to owner, consumer and the occupant of the place, but also she provides counselling for architectural design, application and follow-up. In order for the works emerging from Kontra to live up to its name, the company conceptualizes spaces and environments by galvanizing the contrasts in an everflowing look and feel so that the creation can be timeless.
