Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) was an innovative and prolific Spanish artist who worked in a variety of mediums, including painting, ceramics, sculpture, and printmaking. He is best known for co-founding the Cubist movement and for being one of the most influential and prolific artists of the 20th century. He experimented with a variety of styles, including Realism, Expressionism, Surrealism, and Cubism, and is credited with creating the first collage. His works are among the most expensive and sought-after pieces in the art world.
