Renowned internationally, Steve Tracy is an Emmy-award winning artist celebrated for his exceptional portrayal of extreme skiers and Canadian landscapes. Offering a diverse range of services, including original and commissioned artwork, home staging, corporate leasing, boutique art workshops, and live events, Steve's artistic prowess knows no bounds.
 
Born in California in 1953, Steve's artistic journey began with a set of hand-me-down oil paints, leading him to the School of Visual Arts in New York. There, he mingled with icons like John Lennon, Yoko Ono, and Andy Warhol in the vibrant Soho scene. Graduating from the Colorado Institute of Fine Art, Steve furthered his studies in sculpting, design, drawing, illustration, and commercial art. He also honed his craft in printmaking at California's Kala Art Institute and was an active member of the Denver Art Student League, both as a student and an instructor.
 
While Steve's portfolio encompasses various genres, he is most renowned for his striking Canadian landscapes and his captivating sports collections, notably his series on extreme skiers. Characterized by a vibrant palette and a specialized technique, Steve's artistry is influenced by his time in California and Hawaii. He fondly remembers his training in New York City with Deborah Remington and Lowell Nesbitt, whose teachings continue to inspire him. His landscapes pay homage to Canadian Masters like Jack Chambers and the renowned "Group of Seven."
 
Steve's artistic journey includes several years as a scenic artist and art director in the film production industry, collaborating with esteemed companies like MATTE World and IMAX. His exceptional work earned him accolades, including an Emmy Award for his scenic artist role in the HBO movie, "By Dawn's Early Light," and an award for Best Art Direction for a TV commercial produced with Tower Records.
 
Throughout his illustrious career, Steve Tracy has garnered numerous prestigious awards and accolades, including "Best in Show" honors, features in publications like the New York Times, and long-term placements in iconic locations like the Empire State Building. His work has been exhibited worldwide, from New York City to London, San Francisco to Dubai, captivating audiences and collectors alike.
 
Steve Tracy, often referred to as the "Travelling Artist," has lived and traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada. Currently based in a charming country art studio just north of London, Ontario, Canada, Steve continues to create alongside his business partner and wife, Gert, enriching the world with his remarkable artistic vision.
