Description
10 Volumes. Edgar Allan Poe, The Complete Works. Edition des Amateurs. 6 volumes are bound in full green morocco and 4 volumes are bound in full wine morocco. Both of the covers display raised bands, flowers on the panels, and label lettering, all gilt-tooled. The top edges are gilded with gilt-tooled turn-ins and marbled endpapers. Includes plates in two states, one hand-colored. Newly collected and edited with a memoir, critical introductions, and noted by Edmund Clarence Stedman and George Edward Woodberry. Included over 50 full-page illustrations. This edition is limited to 26 lettered sets, each of which has been signed by the editors and the publisher, this being letter "A". Published by The Colonial Company, Ltd. in New York & Pittsburg, 1903.
