"Fake Baedeker". Mr Martinez used the name "Baedeker" illegally. However this title is an excellent and comprehensive guide.

Maps include Montevideo, Buenos Aires and La Plata. All editions are relatively scarce.

Fourth edition. 8vo; (18 x 13 cm), pp. vi, 479, 8 maps and plans, (plan of Buenos Aires detached), adverts, inner hinges cracked; publisher's red cloth gilt, cloth wrinkled; otherwise a good copy.
