An extremely good, complete first edition set of the 15 full-length Secret Seven novels, scarce to find together in collectable condition. None of the titles has any manuscript names and only one dust-jacket has been price-clipped (Secret Seven Win Through).
First editions, first impressions; 15 vols (complete); 8vo (194 x 138 mm, 7¾ x 5½ in); frontispieces and illustrations by George Brook, Bruno Kay, and Burgess Sharrocks, Puzzle For the Secret Seven is the publisher's 'File Copy', stamped accordingly on the upper dust-flap, free endpaper and half-title, consequently this copy is internally mint, Secret Seven Mystery with the original wraparound banner announcing; 'The Latest Secret Seven Story'; some with spotting to text block edges with the very occasional encroachment to a few page extremities, some spotting to a few endpapers, minor spotting to first few leaves of the second title, but most near-fine or fine internally, none with ownership names, inscriptions or 'this book belongs to' filled in, illustrated dust-jackets with prices intact, except for one - Secret Seven on the Trail, some with minor chips and creasing, a few with mild spotting and dust-soiling, closed tear to upper edge or front panel of the second title and some minor, professional repairs to third, fourth and fifth titles only, otherwise all very good -
