$65.
Published in conjunction with an exhibition of the same name at The Drawing Center in New York, this Catalog (really, more of a book) remains a definitive review of Native American Plains ledger art with an in-depth study of the use, structure and style of ledger art. Giving an historical perspective as well as analysis of the art itself, Plains Indian Drawings includes the functions that ledger art served in preserving, recording, and celebrating Plains cultures, most especially that of the Cheyenne, Arapaho, Lakota and Kiowa.
Included are many beautiful images from important ledger books, including some that were unstudied and broadly unknown before this exhibition. -
