Description
This clock was given to the 1st Class passengers on the maiden voyage of the Normandie Oceanliner in 1935. The clock features the letters spelling “Normandie” instead of numbers to indicate the time. Other aspects of the design show a head on view of the ship with sunburst designs around it sitting on a wave base. There is a later reproduction that has numbers instead of the letters to tell the time. There is no damage to the glass on this clock and the clock has been serviced and keeps perfect time.
