Exceptional Original Boulle Style and Gilded French Portico Clock.
All over still with the original gilded mounts, the inlay in the Boulle style with brass and coloured lacquer work.
With the original dial and hands.The wooden case is ebony and ebonised and still has its original gilded ornaments.
The original pendulum decorated with ornaments and flowers The four columns decorated with flower garlands
The original movement stamped Japy Fréres Med D’honneur has been fully cleaned and serviced and is in working order striking on a bell every 30 minutes running for 1 week.
In beautiful original used condition. 53cm high, 26cm wide, 15cm deep
French circa 1870.
