French 19th Century Louis XVI-Style Mantel Clock

Description
This lovely Louis XVI-style gilt-brass and marble figural mantle clock is from France, c. 1890, and features a maiden bestowing a floral garland upon a cherub mounted around the enamel dial with hand-painted numerals. The whole rests on a white marble base mounted with three front frieze panels and one on each side, depicting frolicking cherubs. Retains the original winding key.
