A Louis XVI style mantle clock after one of Belgium's greatest clockmakers, Hubert Sarton (1748-1828). This example having a portic pendulum in white marble with a Jasperware porcelain medallion framed in gilt bronze on a marble frame with gilded bronze ornaments and Jasperware medallions.
The circular enameled clock face signed: "Grauwiler.Bale" in a drum casing surmounted by a two-handled urn supported between a pair of shaped uprights, the uprights and pendulum set with a blue jasperware medallion over a shaped rectangular base raised on disc feet
