Louis XV, Figural Cartel Clock, Dore Bronze, Porcelain, Steel, France, 19th/20th c.
A fine solid bronze large and impressive Wall or Cartel Clock having porcelain Cartouche Roman numerals, foliate pierced and engraved steel hands, count wheel bell striking movement with tic-tac escapement and Sunburst figural suspended pendulum, shaped ormolu case surmounted by an urn and four berry finials, a drape trailing to the sides with scrolling leaves, paterae trellis sides and front above a mask with scrolls below. This clock is not working at the time of this listing.
An identical clock having sold in Sotheby's Auction House along with a matching barometer, not working, a much smaller model.
