Renaissance Revival enamel and gilt bronze mantel clock
French, late 19th Century
Height 53cm, width 29cm, depth 22cm
The mantel clock is crafted in the charming Renaissance Revival style that flourished in the latter 19th Century. The finely cast gilt bronze structure with profuse architectural and floral motifs, together with three cherub figures positioned throughout. The body is inset throughout with colourful champlevé enamel panels with richly detailed geometric floral patterns. The dial inset into the front with a circular gilt bronze border and Roman numerals. -
