Description
Interesting French Charles X very fine original gilded portico clock circa 1830. Signed: Verdière Rue Dauphine no 15 à Paris. Verdière was working in Rue Dauphine from 1820 till 1840. Still with the very interesting and unusual original Gridiron pendulum, suspended on a reverse Knife-edge. (see image) All over in original gilded used condition, with beautiful original old patination. Still with the fully cleaned and serviced original movement, striking on a bell every 30 minutes, in fully working order, running for 1 week. French circa 1830. 49cm high, 26cm wide, 16.5cm deep.
