-
Description
Unusual gilt Tramp Art photo frame from the period in Austria around 1870. Elaborately hand carved out of bass this antique rustic photo frame impresses with a double frame: the beautiful inner section shows the so-called "notch cut" technique covered by a dark, almost bronze looking gold. The outter frame captivates with a great looking, differently carved design and builds a fantastic contrast due its bright gold surface. Still holding the original mouth blown glass plate, this one of a kind rural gilt photo frame can hold pictures/ photos up to a maximum size of 9.4" x 8.4". A really decorative piece of a late 19th century Tramp Art frame coming in great restored condition. By the way, these kind of frames look gorgeous if combine different sizes and do a nice collage on one wall - so don´t forget to also check out our other beautiful Tramp Art frames....
