Stunning 19th century nutwood commode or also so-called "trumeau" (=half cabinet) from the famous Biedermeier period in Austria around 1830. Artfully designed, this antique commode shows a precious mirrormatched nutwood veneered surface, impressing with its beautiful grain. This exceptional Biedermeier trumeau commode offers a drawer with the original brass fittings above two doors which can be wide opened. Behind it you have a large, divided compartment for convenient storage - all lockable with the still original locks. A really fantastic Biedermeier commode/ trumeau that has been elaborately handcrafted in the early 19th century in the epicenter of the renowned Biedermeier era - Vienna/Austria. This perfect sized 19th century Biedermeier commode comes in great restored condition with an amazing looking traditional hand-polished shellac finish, enforcing the lovely grain of the fine nut wood veneer.
