Pair of Italian silver picture frames in the Art Nouveau style
Italian, 20th Century
Height 24cm, width 20cm, depth 4cm, depth when open 16cm

The elegant frames in this pair are crafted in the Art Nouveau style. Each frame features an ebonised wood body, the front face of which is adorned with an elaborate silver mount moulded with wood grain patterns overset with embossed flowers and scrolling, foliate forms. The frames are supported by easel backings. The silver is marked with Italian silver marks, with Ancona as the assay office.
