Minton Majolica jardinière which features a large conch shell, supported by branching coral, sat on a rocky base embellished with seaweed. Colouration: white, dark coral red, brown, are predominant. The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '966'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1869.
