Description
Pair of Early 20th Century stained glass doors
Continental, early 20th Century
Each door: Height 239cm, width 59cm (118cm when together), depth 9cm
This beautiful pair of Aesthetic Movement stained glass doors is a wonderful piece of early 20th Century design. Each wooden door is inset with three stained glass panels, each panels superbly wrought from coloured glass contained by lead bordering. The six panels in the two doors combine to form a single composition of a peacock atop a balustrade in a classicised setting, with tones of rich blue, green, and yellow predominating. -
