The Scutoid Planters were inspired by the scientific discovery that epithelial cells naturally curve to adopt very beautiful and complex, yet stable geometric shapes known as scutoids, which consist of sheets of similar tissue bound closely together to form larger organic beings. Constructed of natural stone slabs mitered into a geometric form with unique sides, the Scutoid Planter bonds the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Due to handcraftsmanship and the nature of natural material, each piece is unique, and dimensions will vary depending on availability of natural resources.
