Origin: Delft
Workshop: unknown
Date: Last quarter of the 17th century
A fine Dutch Delft blue and white bottle vase, decorated in cobalt blue on a white tin-glazed ground. Made as a copy of the Chinese Transitional porcelain examples. The vase is decorated with two cartouches on each side. One is decorated with Playing Boys riding horses. The other is decorated with a nobleman and his servant, as well as a man offering a gift. The neck and other spaces are decorated with foliage. -

Origin: Netherlands Period: Pre 18th Century Materials: Delftware Condition: Good. The top 2 cm was lost and has since been expertly restored. There is chipping to the base rim, entirely consistent with its age and use.
