20th Century Gold Plated Rattan Walking Stick, Shell Handle and Bamboo Stick

Offered for sale is an early 20th-century rattan or bamboo walking stick with gold-plated accent trim pieces. The handle end and the stick end have gold-plated fittings and there is a graduated gold-plated fitting after the handle. Between the handle end and the graduated fitting is a polished faux tortoise shell curved handle. The gold fitting appears to be marked as 18-karat gold-plated but is difficult to decipher.
