Description
A blue-dyed calcite urn-shaped mineral vase
Continental, 20th Century
Height 25cm, width 13cm, depth 12cm
This beautiful vase is a twentieth century Continental piece, of unclear provenance, made with naturally spectacular blue-calcite, in an urn-shaped design. Intended as a mineral-specimen piece, that is: to showcase this wonderful natural mineral, it consists of a simple, uncomplicated design, where the bands and colour variations in the calcite can be enjoyed most completely. -
