Nuanced brown patina on sand-cast bronze | Signed in base "E. FREMIET" | a Charles More cast numbered 213
Item # 202FPP12G A good lifetime casting by Charles More numbered 215, it captures the entirely relaxed spirit of the recumbant husky dog with its bushy tail bouncing and eyes alert while taking a break. It is finished in an overall medium-brown patina with some gently relieved highlights along the texture of the body. The base is signed with a raised signature captured directly from the mold with no evidence of cold-tooling "E. FREMIET". Cast circa 1860-1880.
