    Horse & carriage: 20cm high x 73.5cm wide x 29cm depth.

This superb objet d'art is a magnificent Austro-Hungarian model of a horse drawn carriage. Elaborately decorated and richly embellished, the model is set upon a rich and polished wooden base, and features four horses, made of silver, drawing a gilt carriage, replete with silver-gilt and vibrant enamel decoration.

The carriage itself is decorated by a pair of delicate paintings of aristocratic young women in an idyllic country setting, and is adorned with rich red enamel elements. Pearls and other precious beads also feature, and the entire work is superbly rendered and intricately worked with wonderful accents and highlights of colour. The piece comes in a fitted wooded case. One wheel is marked 925, and a horses' leg is also marked.
