Tulip Vase
Sandwich Glass Company
Sandwich, Massachusetts, ca. 1845-1865
Pressed glass, amethyst color
Condition: Excellent, customary wear to the edges of the base.
Tulip vases were made by pressing the top and the base separately and joining them together with a wafer. The Sandwich pressed tulip vases had eight panels on the top and bottom.
