Description
This rare set of two "Scorpion" coat racks by Anonima Design, produced by Bonetto in the 1970s, exemplifies the Italian Radical Design movement's bold synthesis of utility and visual experimentation. Each tall vertical panel is finished in a deep reddish-brown lacquer - adding warmth and depth to its bold geometry. The panels feature a series of hinged, sculpturally-cut wooden “doors” that pivot outward to become coat hooks. When opened, these reveal a mirrored back panel.
This piece captures the playful, innovative spirit of Anonima Design - a group composed of Sergio Pareti, Ezio Luzi, Federico Prandi, Viviana Riccato, and Mario Virano. Priced as a set of two.
