Description
This exquisite pair of very large German porcelain figural centerpieces exemplifies the refined artistry and craftsmanship associated with the esteemed Meissen manufactory. Masterfully blending the whimsical charm of the Rococo era with the timeless elegance of Classical design, these centerpieces serve as both functional tableware and striking decorative pieces.
Each centerpiece is shaped in a round basket form, intricately adorned with hand-applied porcelain flowers in a delicate array of soothing pastel hues, creating a visually captivating display. The tripartite base, designed in the opulent Rococo style, is adorned with whimsical cherubic figures blowing horns, adding an element of movement and playfulness to the composition. Set against a pristine white ground with gilded accents, these figures and floral embellishments radiate a sense of luxury and refinement.
In great antique condition, these centerpieces bear the maker’s mark underneath, attesting to their authenticity and heritage. Measuring 15 inches in height and 14.5 inches in diameter, they make a stunning statement, seamlessly complementing both traditional and contemporary interiors. Whether placed as a dining table centerpiece, mantel accent, or display cabinet focal point, these magnificent pieces elevate any space with their graceful form and exquisite detailing. -
