Description
A pair of unique Modernist candle holders blown in the sommerso technique with plum colored glass suspended over transparent clear glass by designer Antonio Da Ros for Cenedese
Origin: Murano, Italy
Dating: 1960
Condition: Excellent
Dimensions: 9″ high, 2.25″ diameter
This work is part of the collection developed by Da Ros in the sixties in collaboration with Cenedese di Murano emphasizing stylized shapes where the most important characteristics are the simplicity of the shapes, the preciousness of the material and the modernity of the colors. .
Vetreria Cenedese is one of the most prestigious fabricators on the island of Murano, founded in 1946, and continue to create high quality and exclusive works, continuing both in the tradition of Murano and seeking contemporary suggestions of forms and techniques positioning itself as avant-garde in the field of glassware. -
