Art Deco Silvered Bronze Dancer with Ball on argyle quartz-shaped design on portoro marble.. This sculpture features a dancer in a stylized kneeling pose, juggling an ivoroid ball. The bronze showcases an excellent silvered surface with fine hand detailing, restored condition from the 1930s. Unique carved face and hands as the stylized hair compliments the overall design.
This Art Deco piece depicts a dancer balancing an ivoroid ball in a splits position, mounted on a black marble base. Although unsigned, this sculpture exemplifies the work of many Art Deco artists, who often captured the female form in artistic dance and ballet poses.
