Hand Held 19th Century Fan. Signed "Aug Lauronce". French, Circa 1885

Description
Chromolithograph on silk scene of a young woman greeting her lover on horseback by the window. Colors are of muted greys, beige, flesh tones, and white. The frame and sticks are made of bone. The fan is signed at the base center "Aug Lauronce".
Auguste Lauronce was a world renowned printer lithographer whose work was on display at the Paris Exposition in 1879 and later he was commissioned to apply his art to fine quality items like this fan. The fan is of French origin and circa 1885.
Dimensions: 10 1/2" high; opens to 18". Condition is excellent and all original. -
