Description
Baccarat crystal glass collection of bottles and trays
French, 20th Century
Largest: Height 4cm, width 24.5cm, depth 9cm
Smallest: Height 12.5cm, width 4.5cm, depth 4.5cm
This elegant collection of amberina crystal glass bottles and trays was crafted by Baccarat in the 20th century.
Comprising 15 pieces, the set is made from 13 bottles and 2 trays, all of a very similar design. The surfaces are adorned with wavelike ridges spiralling around the round and square bodies. Most bottles are topped by rounded stoppers also of a spiralling design. Four bottles include silvered metal toppers. The use of amberina glass gives the gradient appearance where clear glass transitions into vibrant red.
The two trays in the collection are of a very similar design with larger spiralling ridges. The smaller tray includes a raised frosted glass column, possibly for the display of one’s jewellery.
Crafted by the renowned French firm of glassmakers, this collection is a desirable addition to one’s dressing room décor.
