Description
Basket making is an ancient and humble craft, but in the hands of a skilled weaver a simple willow basket becomes a truly beautiful statement. The artisan’s mastery is evident in this early 20th century bent handle basket: the strong, flexible willow strips are skillfully intertwined into a delicate pattern and the wider bands of the handle are simply bent. It has achieved great character over time, but remains in remarkable condition as a testament to its craftsmanship. We love it for firewood, toys, wastepaper or anything you want stored beautifully.
