Description
Beautiful original 19th century Ligurian olive jar with a charming aged patina and perfect proportions and measures for both an indoor and outdoor use.
Handcrafted using white soil and the ancient technique of rope thrown pottery, with an elegant and very light creamy-yellow glazed rim which contrasts with the uneven lunar-like appearance of the whitish grey body, this charming olive jar was used to preserve and transport the precious olive oil produced in the rural Liguria, an hard place to live, squeezed between sea and mountains.
